10-year-old Capri Everitt Raises Her Voice to Raise $1 Million for Children in Need

Everitt Family

When kfm first met Vancouver couple, Kerrie and Tom Everitt, we couldn’t believe what they were planning to do.

They intended to temporarily leave their jobs and travel to 80 countries around the world in 9 months. Their children Capri and Bowen would be coming too. At each destination, Capri, their talented 10-year-old daughter, would be singing the National Anthem of each country, in the country’s National language of course.

Why would they attempt this incredible Around the World in 80 Anthems journey? To raise $1 million for abandoned and orphaned children around the world affected by war, poverty and other unfortunate circumstances. Inspired by the book, The World Needs Your Kid by Craig Kielburger and Shelley Page, the family wants to do what they can to make a difference. Since partnering with SOS Children’s Villages, the family is well on their way!

CTV Vancouver got wind of the story and sent it on to their National news deck. Here’s the TV segment! Keep an eye on this family, their journey begins November 2015! Check out their website to see how you can help!
